William Kin Collins, Sr. 59, of Hawkinsville, Ga. died Friday, September 6, 2013 in the Medical Center of Central Georgia in Macon, Ga.Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, September 8, 2013 in the chapel of Clark Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Gary Abbott, Rev. Blake Westbrook and Mr. Andy Hill officiating.Burial will be in the Orange Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Collins was a native of Pulaski County Georgia.He was a member of the Oaks Community Church and a retired medical sales representative.Kin was a former director of the Hawkinsville recreation department and former director of the HHS booster club.He was the voice of the HHS Red Devils from 2000 to 2010, "better known as First Down Red Devils!"
Survivors include his wife, Connie Jones Collins of Hawkinsville, Ga.; son, Will (Stephanie) Collins of Hawkinsville, Ga.; daughter, Holly (Kyle) Floyd of Hawkinsville, Ga.; brother, Tim (Paula) Collins of Chattanooga, Tennessee; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Shirley and Larry Hood, of Hawkinsville, Ga.; mother-in-law, Bessie Jones, of Pineview, Ga.; grandchildren, Chloe and Kinsley Smith, Gracie and Trae Collins.
Pallbearers will be Larry Hood, Rodney Collins, Tony Hendrix, Sid Holland, Larry Miles, Ed Reddick, Hatcher Way and Butch Hall.
Honorary pallbearers will be Barry Martin, Wesley Stewart, Al Morris, Billy Little, Buddy Brown, Craig Castleberry, Greg O'Berry, Royce Conner, Dwight Gatlin, Mike Horton and Cal Franklin.
Flowers will be accepted, but donations may be made to the Pulaski County Relay for Life, American Cancer Society: C/O Bobbie Clemons at Planters First of Hawkinsville, Ga.
Visitation will be Saturday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Clark Funeral Home.
