William Robert Moore

William Robert Moore, Jr., passed away on December 27, 2023, at Houston Medical Center after a brief illness. Born July 18, 1943, in Hawkinsville, Georgia, he was the son of Bernice Rhodes Moore and William Robert Moore of Pineview, Georgia. He was a member of the Pineview High School Class of 1961 and attended Middle Georgia College. He served in the United States Army in Viet Nam and was awarded the Bronze Star for his valor in combat. He was a retired civil servant from Warner Robins Air Force Base. He was predeceased by his parents and his sister, Roxie Virginia Moore Martin of Lemoore, California. He is survived by his sisters Inez Moore Tenenbaum and her husband Samuel; and Judith Moore Hill and her husband Andy. He is also survived by his nephews Brian Christopher Pires and his wife Kristina; Joel Andrew Hill, III, and his wife Nicole; and William Moore Hill and his wife Chrissy; his nieces, Robyn Pires Hubbard, and her husband Mark; Renea Pires Fagundes and her husband, Keith; and eight great nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be in Pineview Cemetery, Pineview, Georgia, on Friday, December 29, at 1:00 pm.
