Scott was born in Kissimmee, Florida on April 2, 1956 and moved to Hawkinsville, Georgia many years ago from Jeffersonville, Georgia. He was a member of the Baptist faith and loved to help everyone that he could. Mr. Orta also enjoyed fishing and golfing in his spare time. He spent many years as a self-employed roofer in the middle Georgia area. Scott was predeceased by his brother, Joe Sheridan and sister, Marcia Ann Griffin.
He is survived by his wife, Catrina Diane Orta of Hawkinsville, Georgia; sons, Roy Waters and Austin Waters of Hawkinsville, Georgia; brothers, Tom Sheridan of Augusta, Georgia, Glenn Sheridan of Fort White, Florida and John Sheridan of Augusta, Georgia; sister, Jennifer Allen of Perry, Georgia; brother-in-law, Melvin Griffin of Montezuma, Georgia.
