Mr. William Robert Slick, 86, of Hawkinsville, Ga., passed away Wednesday, June 16, 2021in the Perry Hospital.A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at Broad Street Baptist Church with Dr. Jeff Waters and Dr. James Slick officiating.Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. prior to the service.A graveside service will follow at Pulaski-Bleckley Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Slick was a native of Martinsburg, West Virginia and a member of Broad Street Baptist Church.He was a U. S. Army Veteran having served in Korea and Vietnam and a retired farmer.Mr. Slick was preceded in death by his parents, Lester Daniel and Edith Marie Wallon Slick and four siblings.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Ellen Slick of Hawkinsville, Ga.; son, Dr. James Slick (Katherine) of Atlanta, Ga.; Daughters, Dana Britto (Randy) of Dothan, Alabama, Kathy Shifflett of Hawkinsville, Ga., sister, Rosa Lee Wolflang (Louis) of Wisconsin; 9 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchilden.
