Dr. William Wayne West, 78, of Hawkinsville, passed away Saturday, December 4, 2021.Services will be held at a later date.
Dr. West was a native of Newton, Ga. and a member and a deacon at Hawkinsville First Baptist Church.He was an Optometrist.He was a member of the Hawkinsville Lions Club, Gideons, American Optometric Association and the Georgia Optometric Association. He was preceded in death by his parents, Woodrow Wilson and Bessie Mae Cameron West.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Goodson West of Hawkinsville, Ga.; sons, Mark Wayne West (Jeanna) of Bainbridge, Ga. and William Schyler West (Misty) of Richmond Hill, Ga.; daughter, Autumn Layne West Webster (Patrick) of Stuttgart, Germany; grandchildren, Zac West (Lacy), Nicholas West (Jamie), Marah, Holly and Savannah West and Tessa Webster; great grandchild Lily West; and sister, Ginger Mcleod (Butch) of Morris, Ga.
