Willie Jo Smith Black, 93, of Hawkinsville, Georgia passed away Thursday, June 9, 2016 in the Taylor Regional Hospital in Hawkinsville.Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, June 12, 2016 in the chapel of Clark Funeral Home with Dr. Kelly Pritchett and Rev. Jay Turner officiating.Burial will be in Orange Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Black was a native of Ware County, Georgia anda retired textile worker of Opelika Manufacturing Company.She was a member of Broad Street Baptist Church and the Grace Sunday School Class.She was also a member of the Singing Seniors in Cochran, Ga.She was preceded in death by her husband, David Thomas Black, Sr.; sons, David Thomas Black, Jr. and J. W. Black; grandson, Richard Thomas Black; daughter-in-law, Ann Foskey Black and son-in-law, James Albert Belflower.
Survivors include her sons, Gary (Marilyn) Black of Macon, Ga., Stanley (Patty) Black of Hawkinsville, Ga.; daughter, Loretta (Gilbert) Braddock of Hawkinsville, Ga.; daughter-in-law, Mary Frances Black of Pembroke, Ga.; 12 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
Honorary pallbearers will be the members of the Grace Sunday School Class.
Pallbearers will be Steve Black, Don Black, Joel Black, Jay Belflower, Ken Youngblood and Joe Arnold
Visitation will be Saturday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Clark Funeral Home.
Flowers will be accepted and donations may be made to Broad Street Baptist Church of Hawkinsville, Ga.
