Mrs. Willodean Rodgers Newberry, 82, of Hawkinsville, Ga. died Monday, October 4, 2010 in the Taylor Regional Hospital.Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, October 7, 2010 in the Broad Street Baptist Church with Dr. Kelly Pritchett and Rev. Jeff Waters officiating.Burial will be in Orange Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Newberry was a native of Clark County, Alabama and was a member of the Broad Street Baptist Church and the Auditorium Sunday School Class.She was a homemaker. Dean was a member of NARFE and AARP, the Red Hat Society, the Pink Ladies of Taylor Regional Hospital, Prime Timers and the Arts Council.Mrs. Newberry was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Wendell Rodgers and parents, Michael Jenkins Gates and Essie Bea Gates and brother, William Jenkins Gates.

Survivors include C. W. Newberry, devoted friend and companion; Children, Wendell Kyle (Deborah) Rodgers of Gulf Breeze, Fla; Angela Rodgers (Larry) Mashburn of Roswell, Ga., Ashley Dean Rodgers of Hawkinsville, Ga.; five grandchildren, Courtney Rodgers King, Caitlyn Rodgers, Chloe Rodgers, Sarah Beth Rodgers and Caleb Rodgers; sister, Edwina Ezernack.

Pallbearers will be Kent Summerall, Jimmy Tripp, Keith Warnock, Mike Newman, Ronnie Turner and Larry Garrett.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday evening at Clark Funeral Home in Hawkinsville.
