WilsonMarshall Joiner, husband of the late Hazel Witherington Joiner, died on his 95th birthday, October 19, 2009 at his residence, Oakleaf Village, in Greer, South Carolina.Born in 1914 in Pittsview, Alabama, Wilson was a World War II Air Force Veteran and worked for Maxwell Brothers Furniture in Columbus, GA, Augusta, GAand Rock Hill, SC. Upon retirement he and his wife moved to Hawkinsville, GAwhere they were active members of First Baptist Church.

He is survived by his son, Thomas Joiner and his wife, Anna of Taylors, SC; sister, Mary Jane Ramsey of Athens, GA; and three grandchildren, Phillip Joiner and Jonathan Joiner of Milledgeville, GA and Dianna Joiner of Taylors, SC. Wilson is predeceased by five brothers and sisters; Harold Joiner of Atlanta, GA, Reuben Joiner of Ozark, AL; Asa Joiner of Macon, GA; Carey Joiner of Columbus, GA; and Dorcas Joiner of Lewisburg, TN.

Funeral service will be held at First Baptist Church of Hawkinsville, GA on Sunday, October 25 at 2:00 PM preceded by visitation at 1:00 PM and interment at Pleasant View Baptist Church in Pineview, GA.

Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, Hawkinsville, GA.
