Esther Owen Newman
July 13, 1919 — May 5, 2013
Mrs. Newman was born in Elko, Georgia and a member of Central Baptist Church of Warner Robins, Ga.She was a member the church choir and a member of the Gnat Slappers Camping Club. She enjoyed camping for many years throughout the United States and was a self-proclaimed North American Missionary.She was preceded in death by her husband, Cleveland Ellis Newman and two sisters, Ruth Sorrow and Rosa Whitfield.
Survivors include a son, Stanley (Kathy) Newman of Dodge County, Ga.; daughter, Cheryl (Gary) Hull of Warner Robins, Ga.; grandchildren, Leesa Adams, Ginny Fountain, Chris Newman, Adam Hull, Phillip Hull; great-grandchildren, Victoria Fountain and Bre'ona Fountain and amazing friend Scott Jackson.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday evening at Clark Funeral Home.
Clark Funeral Home of Hawkinsville, Ga. is in charge of the arrangements.
