Pryor Aldean "Dean" Hattaway, age 82 of Hawkinsville, Georgia passed away on Friday, January 26, 2018 at his residence surrounded by family. Services for Mr. Hattaway will be held at 2p.m. on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at Clark Funeral Home with Dr. Kelly Pritchett and Rev. Jeff Waters officiating. The family will meet with friends at Clark Funeral Home following the service.
Dean was born on March 26, 1935 to the late William and Sarah Hattaway in Wilcox County. He was a member of Broad Street Baptist Church in Hawkinsville, Georgia and was retired from Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base, where he worked in avionics. Mr. Hattaway was a United States Army and Air Force Veteran having served in the Korean War. He retired from the United States Air Force 202nd Engineering Installation Squadron. Dean was also a member of the United States Air Force Sergeants Association, Woodman of the World and the Perry Coffee Club at McDonald's in Perry, Georgia. Mr. Hattaway was also an avid wood worker. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Sarah Hattaway and one son, Michael Keith Hattaway.
Those left to forever cherish his memory include his wife of 61 years, Martha Louise Hattaway of Hawkinsville, Georgia; son, Greg Hattaway; grandchildren, Matt Hattaway, Harley Hattaway, Phillip Hattaway and Kyle Hattaway. He was also survived by five great grandchildren, Ty Hattaway, Emma Hattaway, Hayden Hattaway, Tucker Hattaway and Natalie Hattaway.
